AB test your variations to optimise conversions

In the previous blog we discussed CDP’s and how you can visualise the journey of your website visitors. Today we are going to see how you can show different variations of your website to 50% of the visitors to increase conversions.

The following tools each have the same A/B testing feature, but are still very different. Let’s check it out...

Optimizely

With optimezely’s powerful A/B and multi-page experimentation tool, you can test various variations of your web design. You can test multiple experiments at the same time on one page.

You can test on dynamic websites, test various ad campaigns, cookies, different device types and many more dimensions.

Pricing:

It is the oldest, but most expensive A/B testing tool at well over $1000/month.

Crazyegg

CrazyEgg is the perfect tool if you work for a smaller company. It lets you A/B test without any coding experience. Once it recognizes the better variation it will automatically send more traffic to that variation to see better results about conversion rates.

You don’t need a complicated set up and they keep the tool simple. It’s very easy to compare variations and see the results.

Pricing:

Crazy Egg pricing starts at $29.00 per month. There is a free version. Crazy Egg offers a free trial.

Google optimize

Google Optimize is Google’s A/B testing tool.

The only requirement you have, to use Google optimize is that you have to be connected with Google Analytics.

Google optimize 360 is the paying version of Google optimize, where you can test up to ten different variations on one page.

The tool is not the easiest tool to use, because of the connection and ergonomics, but it is one of the cheapest options since it’s free.

Pricing:

Google optimize is a free version, whilst google optimize 360 has a custom pricing with a cost of approximately $150.000 a year.

VWO

VWO is a conversion optimisation and A/B testing tool who focuses on enterprise companies. They also focus on the graphic and design of the platform itself.

With VWO you can build A/B tests, Split URL tests, and multivariate tests with a drop-and-drop editor.

Pricing:

The most basic plan starts at $368/month (paid annually), and costs rise quickly as your traffic increases.

Convert

Convert positions itself as the alternative to Optimizely, and is similarly high-powered.

Pricing:

The pricing policy is now business-oriented, with the kickstart plan costing over $699/month (paid annually).

Conclusion:

Do you want to improve the results of your content marketing campaign? Well, there’s just one change that you need to make: eliminate guesswork.

To increase your conversion rates, you have to use an older and more known technique: A/B testing.

A/B testing is no longer an option for digital marketing professionals. It’s a necessary stage that each of your campaigns must pass through in order to boost your conversion rate.

In the next blog we’re going to talk about how you can create extra conversions and increase your customer relationship through personalisation software tools.
